Here are some common questions about the Cat Ball® cat bed. 

Is the Cat Ball® washable?

Cat lovers often ask us if the Cat Ball is washable. Yes!

Washing instructions:

• Only use cold water. Why? 
• We use cotton fabrics, which can over shrink with warm or hot water
• Cold water will help maintain bright colors
• Never use bleach
• Bleach will change the appearance of the fabrics
• Bleach seems to be damaging to the foam inside the bed
• Only use Low dryer settings
• Use low or air setting to prevent over shrinking

 Does the Cat Ball have two holes?

Occasionally someone has written to ask that we make their Cat Ball® cat bed "with the big opening." Don't worry, all of these beds have the "big opening"! Our original, hexagonal cat bed design is kind of like a cave, and it has two openings. One of them is big and the other one is small. Cats seem to enjoy peeking out of these spaces, and you can encourage them to use the Cat Ball® like a fort, and they will poke their legs out to grab strings and toys. It's a lot of fun! 

Do you accept returns? 

People are understandably worried that their cat might not use the Cat Ball cat bed, and ask if we accept returns: we usually do. We also have some tips to help you if your cat is not using the bed. Visit our Tips and Tricks page for more information and ideas. 

Will my cat fit? 

Have you ever heard this saying, "Cats are liquid"? Cats seem to have an ability to simply fill a space up, even if that space seems impossibly small. They seem to be intrigued by the challenge of a small box. The other thing is that most cats will fit into the Cat Ball cat bed because our innovative pet bed design is entirely flexible, and unlike many boxes, it will bend to fit your cat's body. We regularly see 18 and 19 pound cats using our standard size Cat Ball®. The largest cat we saw inside the bed weighed 34 pounds. This cat was able to get into the bed, but he could not turn around.
